A view from the East.
© PE Blanche 2002There is very little I can say about this Church. It is a Victorian Church which was obviously constructed as a Chapel of ease to St. Augustine's Church at East Langdon. It is located at the end of a very long and narrow lane in the Village of West Langdon, which although a very lovely spot, is not too much more than a fork in the road. It was originally built in 1869 and is constructed of knapped flint with a stone dressing.
I am not quite sure whether it was constructed behind a stable or the stable was constructed in front of it but a row of very curious horses eyed me warily as I went into the Churchyard. Although it was a Sunday morning there was no sign of life and the door as usual was locked. Obviosuly the Church, though set in a very nice location is very functional and is just a combined Nave and Chancel with a porchway at the West end of the building.
