Looking over the top of the "Holland Tomb" it is possible to view the recent addition to this Chapel which is the highly ornate reredos to The Buffs and the Royal West Kent Regiment originally commissioned at the end of The Great War 1914-19. After The Second World War a new altar with supports of Bethersden marble was also added.

In the center is the figure of St. Michael with (facing you), St. George on the left and St. Paul on the right. I'm not always very supportive of later additions to the Cathedral but in this case, I think it's rather a shame that these beautifully crafted figures are so far away from where the general public can get a decent view of them.

Also held in this Chapel and in keeping with the name, are memorials to The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada and The Royal Queen's Lancers. In addition there is a book which records all of the civilian deaths in Canterbury during the second World War.
