This is an old section of this site which I am presently updating and revising to include as many resources as I can find which will assist family historians and genealogists in their research. The new pages will include many links to other sites where you can gather information about local Kent archives, museums and sources. I could perhaps gather these together and place them on this site but they are all subject to constant change, often as the result of local government budgeting that it seems better to let those authorities keep up with their own changes than for me to try to keep up to date. Many of the sites such as The Kent County Council and the Canterbury Cathedral Archives did not even have internet sites when this site had been in existence for several years and since that time, some of the sites have changed their page addresses so much that they do lack continuity. In researching some of the sites for information, I have found several "broken links" which means that they have their own difficulties in updating their own information and I'd rather not have my visitors blaming me for any problems that they might encounter! I shall do what I can to keep up with the available information and do not forget to return to this site by using your "back" buttons. As I have said in other places on the site, it is not here for financial gain and is not a copy of standard tourist brochures. The majority of current photographs on the site are my own and all the pages contain personal commentary (and compilations of detail from other resources) which are all original and, it seems, also copied to other sites. However, this is the original place for all Kent Resources.
