Located on a crossroad to the West of the Village of Woodnesborough, The Prince of Wales closed some time ago. However, even as a private house there is no mistaking the shape of the part of the building that once used to house the "Gents" - on the left of the picture above! I have no idea as to its present use.

The distinctive sign that was used by the pub when it was a Whitbread house is clearly based on the helmet supposedly worn by "The Black Prince" who is buried nearby at Canterbury Cathedral. A replica can be seen over the tomb of The Prince in The Trinity Chapel at the Cathedral.
