Location: On the B2065, approximately nine miles on from the Barham turn off from the A2 South of Canterbury to the Elham Valley Road
At one time this was an extremely important place as it was the administrative centre of Limowart Lathe, one of the seven Saxon district authorities for Kent. In recent times it was a stop on the small Elham Valley Railway. Now it is a quiet country village on the Elham Valley Road between Canterbury and Folkestone.
One of the most interesting features in this whole Elham Valley area is the Church of St. Mary and St. Elthelburga.
