The Day of Syn theme was given by
the Thorndike Family
to the Rector and PCC of
SS Peter and Paul Church Dymchurch
for fund raising
Russell
Thorndike was a true "Man of
Kent" having been born in Rochester in 1885. In later
years he spent a lot of time in Dymchurch and created the
character of Dr. Syn drawing from many stories told to him
by the local community.
